Smothered Turkey Wings

 

 

Ingredients: 

  • 4 - 6 turkey wings  
  • 1/2 cup flour  
  • 1 tsp seasoning salt  
  • 1 tsp pepper  
  • 1 tsp garlic powder  
  • 1 tsp onion powder  
  • 1 tsp poultry seasoning  
  • 1 chopped chopped green bell pepper  
  • 1 chopped red bell pepper  
  • 1 chopped onion  
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup  
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup  
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth (optional)  
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil  

Instructions: 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.  
  2. Season the turkey wings with seasoning salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and poultry seasoning.  
  3. Lightly dust the turkey wings with flour.  You may not have to use all the flour.  
  4. In a cast iron skillet or frying pan heat vegetable oil.  
  5. Once oil has heated place turkey wings in the hot oil and brown for about 2 minutes on each side. 
  6. Place the browned turkey wings in a deep pan or casserole dish.    
  7. In the same oil sauté your peppers and onions until soft.  
  8. Mix the sautéed peppers and onions in a bowl with the cream of mushroom soup and the cream of chicken soup.  
  9. If you want to thin out the the mixture add chicken broth.  
  10. Spoon the cream mixture over turkey wings.  
  11. Place in 400°F oven for at least 45 minutes.  Allow to cool and Enjoy!
