Cabernet Chicken Thighs with a Honey Soy Glaze

 



 Ingredients: 
  • 6 -8 Chicken Thighs
  • 1/2 cup Cabernet Sauvignon Wine or your favorite Red Wine
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil
  • 2 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger and/or 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon and/or 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • salt
  • pepper
  • Parsley for garnish

Instructions: 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F
  2. To form the marinade mix together wine, soy sauce, honey, cooking oil, minced garlic, onion powder, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, red pepper flakes.  
  3. Clean and dry chicken thighs and place in large bowl or plastic Ziploc bag. 
  4. Season chicken thighs with salt and pepper.  
  5. Pour the marinade over the chicken, cover and let marinade for at least an hour or longer.  
  6. Transfer chicken thighs to baking dish or large cast iron skillet.  
  7. Bake for 1 hour turning chicken halfway through the cooking time.  
  8. Garnish with Parley, pour a glass of wine and ENJOY!
