Cabernet Chicken Thighs with a Honey Soy Glaze
Ingredients:
- 6 -8 Chicken Thighs
- 1/2 cup Cabernet Sauvignon Wine or your favorite Red Wine
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup honey
- 2 tbsp cooking oil
- 2 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp ground ginger and/or 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon and/or 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- salt
- pepper
- Parsley for garnish
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400°F
- To form the marinade mix together wine, soy sauce, honey, cooking oil, minced garlic, onion powder, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, red pepper flakes.
- Clean and dry chicken thighs and place in large bowl or plastic Ziploc bag.
- Season chicken thighs with salt and pepper.
- Pour the marinade over the chicken, cover and let marinade for at least an hour or longer.
- Transfer chicken thighs to baking dish or large cast iron skillet.
- Bake for 1 hour turning chicken halfway through the cooking time.
- Garnish with Parley, pour a glass of wine and ENJOY!
