Warm Bacon & Collard Greens Salad



Ingredients: 


  • 2  - 3 cups chopped collard greens 
  • 6 -8 slices of bacon 
  • 2 tbsp oil 
  • 1 tsp sea salt 
  • 1 tsp pepper 
  • 1 tsp parsley 
  • 1 tsp italian seasoning 
  • 1 tsp cilantro 
  • 1 tsp garlic powder 
  • 1 tbsp sugar 
  • 1 cup Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing 
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard 

Instructions: 

Bacon Dressing: 

  1. Fry bacon in skillet 
  2. Remove bacon and set aside on paper towel to drain but leave bacon grease in skillet 
  3. Stir Balsamic Vinaigrette dressing and Dijon mustard together in a bowl 
  4. Add crumbled bacon to the dressing mixture 

Collard Greens: 

  1. Clean & chop Collard Greens 
  2. Season greens with all of the dry seasonings 
  3. Reheat bacon grease on medium high heat 
  4. Add greens and stir and cook until the greens become soft 
  5. Slowly add the Bacon dressing to the greens and allow it to come to a quick boil 
  6.  Stir in the sugar until dissolved 
  7. Turn the collard greens off, transfer to a bowl, allow to cool and Enjoy!
