Oven Baked Slow Cooked BBQ Ribs in a Sangria Sauce




Ingredients: 

Ribs:

  • Baby Back Ribs or Country Style Ribs
  • 1 tbsp seasoning salt
  • 1/2  tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp pepper
  • 1 tbsp smoke paprika
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp cayene pepper

BBQ Sauce:

  • 1 cup Red Wine (Velata Sangria or Red Wine of your choice)
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1/tsp seasoning salt
  • 1 tsp smoke paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper

Instructions:

BBQ Sauce:

  1. In a medium sauce pan combine all the sauce ingredients
  2. Stir and bring to to a boil
  3. Reduce the heat to low and simmer
  4. Stir often until sauce has thickened

Ribs

  1. Preheat oven to  300°F 
  2. Combine all of the dry seasoning ingredients together
  3. Rub the dry seasoning all over both sides of the ribs
  4. Wrap the ribs tightly in aluminum foil and place on baking sheet
  5. Bake for 3 hours
  6. Remove the ribs from the oven and bast with the BBQ Sauce
  7. Cook for an additional 10 minutes 
  8. Serve with a glass of Sangria & ENJOY!
